default DBC Editing – Custom Extended Costs

Post   on Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:35 pm

Hey Everyone, Since some of you don’t want to just add like honor to items as extended costs or extended costs etc… Here is a guide that will show you how to make custom item extended costs..

Lets get started!

Things we are going to edit:

Itemextendedcost.dbc

Requirements:

Microsoft Excel
DBCutil

lets get started!!

————————————————

1. download DBCutil and Microsoft excel.
2. Locate in your core folder Itemextendedcost.dbc
3. Drag Itemextendedcost.dbc over DBCUtil.exe
4. You should get under itemextendedcost.dbc a file named ItemextendedCost but in Microsoft excel form. Open It.
5. You should see some columns like this:

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]

A: The first column is the entry Id of the extended cost
B: The second column is honorpoints
C: The third is arena points
D: Fourth is just 0×0
E: Entry Id of first Item.
F: Entry Id of Second Item.
G: 0
H: 0×0
I: Quantity of item 1
J: Quantity of Item 2

This is not the same for all users so play around with it.

Make a new row that you want and fill it out with the item you wish for me mine looks like this:

Close and save.

After that we have to convert it back.

Drag it back over the DBCUtil.exe and it should convert back. After that is done place it back in the folder and wahlaa!!!
